The Enginerd has full reign over the wardrobe choices for himself, and his groomsmen. I handed off this part of the planning to him at the very beginning, and haven’t checked in much since. So the other night, I asked him what he was thinking. His answer? Suspenders.
Now, we are both self-professed nerds. But had it really come to this? He explained that he wasn’t imagining Urkle-style suspenders (phew!), but more in the style of the effortlessly cool Rat Pack, or James Dean. There’s just one problem: after hours of poring over the massive Google Images database, I can’t find a single picture of any members of the Rat Pack wearing suspenders. Or James Dean. Of course, poring over photos of James Dean really wasn’t so bad…
Despite my inability to find any photos of the specific people he mentioned, I think I have an idea of what he’s going for. Maybe something along these lines?

I’m just not entirely sold on this idea. I haven’t managed to find someone rocking the suspenders the way Mr. E envisions. Of course, that doesn’t mean he couldn’t do it.
